Bad experiences
You know some days are just screwed up. Like why did this day even have to happen? Have you ever had such a bad experience? In this matter I think everyone has a story to share, if you don't, be glad! Well I'll tell you a bit about mine and I'll try to be brief.
Of cos it didn't start off all bad, I couldn't even see it turning out bad, the bad eased in slow... So I'm a final year mechanical engineering student schooling in Port Harcourt. I had a class by 10am but I had another engagement by 8am. So I woke up on time quite alright, I knew I wouldn't be on time for the 10am class but the plan was to meet up atleast for the attendance. Today was supposed to be quite an easy day. I'll not go fully into details.
First mistake I made was the poor choice of outfit. I wore a dark thick long sleeved shirt, a black chinos trouser and shoes. Normally this dressing isn't alarming, but today wasn't like any other day, I wasn't informed on time that the sun was lodging in a nearby hotel. So I guess sweat was part of the outfit.
I was done by 10.30 and since the class didn't end till 12 noon, I was sure I could make it. If only I knew getting a taxi would suddenly be a treasure hunt I'd have asked for the map. I had to trek a really long distance, I could feel myself get darker.
At the next bus stop I finally got a cab. On getting to my destination, I realised I lost my money. So this trekking I was doing all this time wasn't optional?
I got to class and No, I didn't meet the attendance, I met a running stomach though.
I wasn't doing anything in school anymore so I decided to sweat more.
After some time I was jogging, halfway through I was on full speed. Only thing that mattered to me was that finish line.
It was tough, I jumped a lot of hurdles, ignored a lot of good folks but I finally made it. I was at my gate, trouser in tact.
My keys. Where the heck are my keys!!! I forgot my keys back in school with a friend.
Fast forward 2 bloody hours later, I'm in my room thinking of how much I've suffered today and how it can't possibly get worse.
Word of advise, if you're having a bad day, the moment you think it can't get worse is when it does.
Our power supply is routined, from 7pm to 6am, we're at least sure of power.
Guess what showed up instead? Heat. Turns out the sun sent her greetings.
At this point it wasn't even funny again, I had to open my doors and windows for breeze but guess who showed up instead? Yeah, mosquitoes.
You know what? Never mind.
Feel free to share your bad experiences.
