I asked yabapmatt who is the owner of dolphinbot and did not get a response from him either.
It uses him as a proxy for witness votes, but I already encountered a case when a bot uses an account which is not its owner, nor its operator, nor its delegator as a proxy for witness votes.

Why not claim your rewards?
You do not need to do it every time, just before a voting cycle starts, suppose when your "VP" gets to 99.9%.

Postponing claiming your rewards postpone your growth.
