A little advice for new users about leaving comments on posts
When leaving comments on posts it might be a good idea to do or take into consideration the following points:
If you are leaving a positive comment then it might be a good idea to actually upvote the article you are commenting on. (You don't have to do this, and there maybe good reasons why you don't.)
It is better if comments are original and more than just one or two words. Copying and pasting the same comments over and over again may get noticed (in a bad way).
Don't ask people to follow you. (This is just my opinion. Maybe other new users will like being asked.)
Don't say you have followed someone when you haven't. Some users will actually check and downvote you if you haven't.
Certainly do not ask someone to follow you because you have followed them and then not actually follow them. This will certainly be downvoted and if it catches the attention of more powerful members or bots, it could severely damage your reputation, ultimately leading to your posts being hidden.
Be nice, even if you disagree with a point that is being made.
These are just my opinions. There are no hard and fast rules.
