Harley Davidson will have it's first electric motorcycle

in #news7 years ago

Harley Davidson, one of the leading manufacturers in the motto industry, is preparing to launch an electric model for the first time.
More and more important brands that have been associated with powerful gasoline engines start their journey with electric creations. Ferrari was the first to say that in the coming years they will bring a serious competitor to Tesla. Now it's time for Harley Davidson to do something similar.

Harley Davidson fans are very passionate about their noisy motorcycles, but soon they will be able to turn to a more green version of the American manufacturer. The announcement of an electric motorcycle comes four years after LiveWire, a very attractive prototype of the company, made waves in Avengers. It's hard to tell at this time what will be the similarities between the commercial model and the version of Marvel, but it is not wrong to expect a futuristic creation.

Harley Davidson Chairman and CEO detailed plans for an electric model in the announcement of last quarter financial results. "You've heard about the LiveWire Project." For the first time, Matt Levatich did not bother to associate a precise delivery time for an electric motorcycle. Apparently, it will be 18 months. As a result, by the middle of 2019, if not earlier, the ones waiting for it will be able to get an electric Harley Davidson at its nearest show-room.

At the moment, the name under which the future motorcycle will be marketed is not known, but given the company's history, we may be astonished. If there are similarities with the LiveWire prototype, the electric project should have an 50 miles range and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds. It remains to be seen whether the specifications will be improved until the actual launch.
