US intel official says Netanyahu's Iran report is 'somewhat misleading'
BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:20 P.M.) - A U.S. intelligence official recently stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Iran report at the United Nations was "somewhat misleading."
Speaking to the Reuters News Agency, the U.S. intelligence official said that Washington already knew about the facility Netanyahu referenced in his speech.
The U.S. official said that the so-called "atomic warehouse" mentioned by Netanyahu was actually full of filing cabinets and paper.
He would add that the facility had no aluminum tubes for centrifuges.
Another U.S. official told Reuters that the warehouse was nothing more than a site to store records and archives from Iran's nuclear program.
Iran has already dismissed Netanyahu's claims, with their Foreign Minister Javad Zarif poking fun at the Israeli Prime Minister.
