Instagram now shows when users are online! : Here’s how to disable it.
When whatsapp launched the option for deactivating the “Last Seen” or “Blue Tick” option, I was one of those who jumped at the feature which disables it.
Now history repeats itself with a new Instagram feature. If you go to your DM’s, it shows when the user was active last. Finding this out early in the morning was really pissing off since I’m one of those who don’t like to publish this sort of info to anybody.
Thankfully they also put in the feature to disable it and took me 10 secs flat to do it.
How to do it -
- Click on your profile icon where all your pictures are displayed.
- Click on “Settings” next to edit profile bar.
- In the options displayed scroll down and disable “Show Activity Status” and voila!
You’re back to the old setting!
