These things will escalate under Trump, he was backed by the police unions en masse and he is in love with the police state, you have to look at his policy he has stated will come to pass. There are too many examples to cite. but you know what I mean.
His presidency is the perfect mechanism to continue the theft of civil liberties.
It sucks. The only thing the police should backing is their honor and their common sense.
