WASHINGTON - President Donald John Trump said his country would not forget 241 US troops killed by Hezbollah militia in Beirut more than 30 years ago. Trump's statement was delivered via Twitter.

"We will never forget the 241 members of US forces killed by Hezbollah in Beirut. They died in service for our nation, "Trump wrote via @ RealDonaldTrump account on Tuesday, quoted Wednesday (25/10/2017).

On October 23, 1983, 241 US military service personnel-including 220 Marines and 21 other service personnel-were killed by a truck bomb at a marine complex in Beirut, Lebanon.
