I remember being forced to do something similar when I was just a second grader. There was a referendum on whether to build a new school or remodel the old school and all the faculty and principles wanted a new school so they had all us children in every grade get out and hold hands around the school building in order to show how small the school was. The whole theme of the week was making posters and buttons and t-shirts in school time in order to wear and show when the newspaper showed up to take our pictures. I was too young to understand what they were doing but it's similar to what is going on here. Nothing pushes an agenda more then when our children are involved. Whether that be through their life and demonstrating or through their death in these school shootings.
