Killed the controversial rapper XXXTentacion in Miami

American rapper XXXTentacion died Monday at age 20 after being shot several times as he was driving to his car at a motorcycle store in Deerfield Beach, north of Miami, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said.

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was transferred after the shooting to a medical center, where he died shortly after. The two suspects in the attack, which occurred around 4 pm (local time), fled in a dark truck, according to police who said that "it could be a robbery."

The singer was facing charges of domestic violence after being accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, something he had denied. Onfroy presented his debut album, 17, in 2017, and in March he released the second one, title ?, With which he debuted first in the list of all genres of Billboard 200, in which he also stood out with his Sad singles! and Changes.

The artist began writing music after being released from a juvenile correctional center and released his first song on the SoundCloud audio distribution platform in 2013, entitled News/Flock. His music, very dark and muted, often evoked his depression and his criminal past.
