My comment on: Kiev hails US & Canada for greenlighting lethal arms supplies that could kill Ukraine peace process

Well, of course Ukraine is happy with this and they have every right to ask for such weapons - they are a sovereign country after all. And, in fact, Poroshenko has a duty to seek such weapons. It is only how they will be used that may deserve some scrutiny. RT, from its own viewpoint, is putting Ukraine's praise of the decisions in a bad light.

The only problems I can see from these actions of the US and Canada is that they are becoming involved in a conflict on the border of Russia. The solution of military supplies is not a solution. The parties in this conflict are Ukraine, Russia, and the regions of Ukraine which are rebelling. By making the decision to supply lethal arms, the US and Canada may be further cementing ill-will between the West and Russia which simply will not be forgotten.
