Actually some success in the cup matches for a change with a +0.36 unit profit but still down on the week so far as Genk failed to deliver in their match on Wednesday. Already Week 24 now in the League and the grind continues...
Oostende vs Anderlecht
Oostende as a team can be summed up as at time playing a good half but rarely managing to put up a consistent performance for 90 minutes. They pretty much always get goals against as the worst defense in the league based on the numbers and luck also just hasn't been on their side. Now sitting in 17th place just 3 points behind on the safe zone, they are one of the main relegation candidates and the overall team spirit isn't what's going to save them. That said, I don't rate them as bad as many people and analysts do. They played a 2-2 draw away against Kortrijk last weekend which was a fair score even though they were in the lead 5 minutes before the end. Anderlecht is in 11th place and 5 points away from a playoff 2 spot. Overall things have just not been good enough, especially on the offensive side and they failed to enforce themselves during the winter transfer time as pretty much no good player wants to join this team in decline right now. That got them to pick up their 9th choice or so as a new striker with 34-year-old Slimani. This said, they overall should have a team with more quality compared to Oostende which is what's keeping me away from having a small stab at the home team + the 0.5 handicap which is the only real pre-game option for me. I doubt this will be an easy match for Anderlecht. I do think both teams will play with an eye to score and to win but at the same time they haven't shown enough finishing power for me to actually bet the over. Basically, I will wait and see how it plays out before potentially getting some bets in.
