Voyager 2 created history: Second man-made spacecraft outside the solar system

in #news6 years ago

Signs of Voyager 2 indicate that NASA's spacecraft is on the boundary of the solar system. He has reached the last end of the huge bubble of the solar system, which is called heliosphere. Voyager 2 will move out of our solar system soon

Voyager 2 and its twin Voyager 1 were launched in 1977. In 2012, Voyager 1 crossed the limit of the solar system.

Voyager 2 has seen an increase in the presence of cosmic rays around it, these cosmic rays are found in the interstellar medium outside the solar system. According to NASA, it is a sign that the spacecraft launched by 41 years ago, Voyager 2 is now ready to go outside the solar system.

After going out of the solar system, after Voyager 1 it will be the second man-made object that has crossed the boundary of the solar system. Voyager 1 faced a similar situation in 2012 when he had witnessed similar kind of increase in cosmic rays. At present, Voyager 2 is 2.8 billion km away from Earth.

Voyager 1 left for Earth on September 5, 1977, a few days after his companion Yan Wieger 2 (20 August 1977). The primary purpose of this vehicle was the study of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune which he had completed in 1989. After that, he jumped into deep space.

When these two voyagers were released in 1977, their aim was only to visit Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. At that time, humans had 20 years of experience in space, there was no hope that this campaign would last for more than 40 years, after completing their original campaign. But the engineers of this campaign were not surprised, they made it more than they needed.
