There is nothing wrong with individuals of different ethnicity mixing, having offspring, etc.; or even with a private company promoting it if they choose to promote these kinds of politics (unwise business decision, in my opinion). However, seeing this come from a state-owned news organization--in this case The Crown, who owns the CBC--and pushing propaganda like this is disturbing. Especially since another news organization owned by The Crown reported on a scientific forecast that humanity will split into 'two sub-species' beginning in the year 3000.
