Media already running wild with speculation after Trump found guilty in NYC

in #news6 months ago

I will save the arguing about whether or not this trial was rigged to people that pay a lot more attention to it than I do. I don't want to ruffle any feathers out there because honestly, I don't really care. Here is why I don't care real quick: This isn't going to change anything about who is voting for who this November: The people supporting Trump will continue to support Trump and the never-Trumpers who pretend they actually think Biden is a good choice will continue to vote for Biden.

Was the trial a sham? Maybe. But I think that about all legal proceedings in the USA and probably the world. If you are not a pal of the system the system will burn you and when it comes to Trump, New York City absolutely hates the guy or at least the rulers of NYC do. It could have been rigged but really, this conviction means nothing unless they decide to actually sentence him to jail time and if the did that, I think that everyone that isn't addled with TDS would agree that this is definitely a witch-hunt since a first-time offender (even if he was legit guilty) wouldn't do jail time for this. If they were to do so (put him in jail) it would only boost his claims about the justice system being weaponized against him.

But as expected the media is doing what the media does and the biased information took only a few minutes before the misrepresentation of data started flowing from the usual liberal suspects and like the good little parrots that they are the lower publications regurgitated the same data even though a reasonably intelligent person can tell that this is not new information because there was no way they had enough time to gather it.

As you would expect all the major outlets such as New York Times, Washington Post, and basically everyone else other than Fox can barely contain their glee over this verdict but what is funny to me is how they didn't miss a beat before getting statistics shoved down their viewers' throats that are intentionally misleading. One of them stated this: "43% of respondents in swing states said they would refuse to vote for Trump if he was convicted in this trial."

Well that sounds pretty damning..... if have the the intellect and memory of a stone.

To the jackaloons that are reporting this in the media I have this to say: 43% of respondents in swing states were never going to vote for Trump anyway you morons!

Some of the outlets were also reporting / celebrating the fact that as a convicted felon, Trump will not be able to vote. This is completely false and I think they know that. While it is true in some states that a convicted felon is not allowed to vote Trump is a resident of Florida and Florida's policy towards voting is that you are not allowed to vote if the conviction in the state that you were convicted in prevents you from doing so. New York law allows felons to vote provided they are not currently incarcerated. Go ahead, look it up. It is true. The fact that I can figure this out but BBC can't suggests that they either don't care, are telling a lie on purpose, or are incredibly inept. Choose any one of those and apply it to basically any new organization other than The Economist and it will be true.

So if you are out there really pissed off because of this conviction you should probably just take it easy. While the media will find a person here or there that has their mind changed by this, this will probably be fake as well. It's really easy to pay some random ass people and have them say that they were shocked and have changed their minds about who they are going to vote for but I think that most people are smart enough to see through this BS.

If you are giddy with glee that he was found guilty, I think your party is going to be short-lived. For me, I am looking forward to the response when it is revealed that this verdict has changed no one's minds or even better, if it boosts Trump's numbers.

If you somehow think that this makes him ineligible to run for office and are having a party because of that, cancel the catering. The rules for who is eligible to run for President are few in number and none of them relate to jail. One Presidential candidate ran for office from inside prison once although I dont' remember who it was and am not going to devote time to figuring out who it was... he didn't win.

In the meantime get ready for the next week of the news to be dominated by various legal experts and hour-long round table meetings where they just speculate over and over again about the implications of all of this. It's going to be an easy week for me to spot lies in the media and hopefully, it will be easy for you as well.
