The @Toyota_Hybrid #8 is now leading the race ahead of its sister #7#LEMANS24. #Nakajima in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid has passed #Kobayashi at the wheel of the #7 to take the lead. What a pity!!!!

About halfway through my second stint Vette started to experience a suspension issue.
While Gavin was running it wasn’t too big of a problem but when he pitted and Tommy Milner got in the, the problem got significantly worse. They lost 2.5 laps fixing the problem but then we had another issue with the floor. They stayed 4.5laps behind. Long way to go and we’ll keep battling to get ourselves back in the fight!

7:27 Despite the car's issues earlier in the race, Jenson Button has put in some fast laps overnight with a best time of 3:21.742 in the #11 SMP_Racing. Mikhail Aleshin has now taken over the driving duties.
7:40 The two leading Toyotas have been given a stop-and-go penalty of one minute each for speeding in the Slow Zone.
Reminder: in a Slow Zone, speed is restricted to 80 kph.
7:43 After its earlier spin, the #88 Dempsey-Proton Racing has now had to retire from the race.
7:57 Mathieu Vaxivière got the #28 back to the garage and Loïc Duval is back on track.
8:13 Game over for the DragonSpeed #10 BR Engineering BR1-Gibson following an earlier race incident for British driver Ben Hanley. it was caused after its earlier crash into the tyres.

8:33 Leader in LMP2, the G-Drive Racing #26 Oreca-07-Gibson stands fifth overall. Since the Strakka Racing Honda HPD stood in fifth place in 2010, we have seen LMP2 prototypes in the top 5 in 2014 (5th) and 2015 (5th) and of course last year 2017, when LMP2s took, second, third, fourth and fifth place behind the winning Porsche 919 Hybrid of Earl Bamber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley.
