Jeff Bezos is having a $42 million dollar clock built on his property ๐โโณโฐ ..and some other important news
The world's richest man is having a team drill a hole into a mountain on his property and install a 10,000 year clock.

This timekeeper will be 500 feet tall with mechanical gears that move alot slower than a normal clock. It'll only tick once a year and it's century hand will move once every hundred years, because that's what a century is..
Oh and it will also have a cuckoo appear every millenium because why not right?
Concieved back in 1986, Amazon's founder has said it's designed to make people think in longer terms than days months and years, to force people to ponder the long term well-being of our planet.

It's kinda funny we have one gazillionaire building a $42 million dollar clock to make people think about the betterment of our planet and another one testing rockets to get our asses off this dying rock and colonize Mars one

Battle of the billionaires!
Are you Team Bezos or Team Musk? Let me know in the comments..
We're living in a world where the richest people are building 500 foot clocks in their backyard and shooting electric cars around space, what a time to be alive!
Oh in other world news TV evangelist Billy Graham has died at the age of 99 and India is ignoring Justin Trudeau and his family of lesbian feminists.

Now you're caught up, have a great day!
Funniest post of the day so far...although I actually like the Bezos idea...as for Musk, we canโt even take care of this planet, now we are going to go mess with more.
I wonder if we can still get Amazon Prime shipping to Mars?
If we do, I bet it takes more than 2 days lol
Lol.. same day delivery!
Seems like a good way for him to spend money whilst some people don't even have clean drinking water or food.....pity Amazon can't help deliver some equality.....
Hm ... I don't get this people if the world is flat ...
What is he doing in that case
Maybe if the 2 team up, we can just send Trudeau and the rest of the politicians to mars, then we won't have to abandon this planet.
Ooh I like that idea!
Haha. I never really understood the clock. Like I love that he wants to promote longterm thinking... but a slow-moving clock just doesn't work as a visual to me, like you look at it and it's essentially the same as a clock that doesn't move.
It's the message behind it, sure. But it relies on people knowing what it is ahead of time. You don't walk by it and get the message.
Maybe it'll grow on me, I dunno.
Nah seems dumb to me too. Probably worth $42 million tho lol Kids starving right now are probably a big fan of it..
lol ya, I guess it's kind of funny that it's sort of a big giant contradiction .. he could better direct the resources at something that actually makes the world better

Don't make fun of Justine, she's sensitive ๐๐
Very interesting tidbit about Bezos.. to be honest he kind of gives me the creeps. But he's knows how to do one thing, and that's in setting and achieving long term goals in a fraction of the 'time.'
A visionary to say the least, but whether or not it's for the betterment of humanity is up for debate.
Musk is more rash, yet scientifically sound.
SpaceX vs. Blue Origin.. the race has begun! A little competition never hurt anybody.
...very interesting post sir..thank you for sharing..
I just love to share. Thanks for stopping by ๐๐
Just about the biggest waste of money I ever heard of! ๐ What a douche ๐
One day that will be us!
