The discovery of deep buried glaciers on Mars will help the world understand how much water and location it can get on Mars to provide water for future human explorers, researchers said. NASA has released images of Mars that look like the southwestern desert, just like the earth. Published in the journal of the American Science (Science) research report said that although the ice on Mars has long been know, but a complete understanding of its depth and location, is essential for future human explorers.

"People need water everywhere," said Shane Byrne, a researcher at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the university of Arizona. Previously, the idea of extracting human water from Mars was made from extremely dry atmosphere or broken water rock.
The underground cliffs or steep slopes appear to be "close to pure ice," the study said. The Mars reconnaissance orbiter (MRO), launched in 2005, sent back images and data to help scientists discover that Mars was buried deep in glaciers. The probe's first discovery of water on Mars was published in the 2010 issue of the journal science.
