Theresa May announces 'dementia tax' U-turn after backlash

I must admit I do like Theresa May and do believe she is a good leader and was extremely popular but this dementia tax has caused so much backlash I am not surprised that she has taken this action.

Labour and the Lib Dems were really capitalising on this move and using as a political weapon to get at the Tory's. This has been very unpopular and a decision that may have cost the Conservatives the election.

Strangely enough the argument is not over the tax change itself but the increase in national insurance for self-employed workers which on the face of it seems reasonable and fair.

It appears to me just plain Politics as the conservatives did say in their manifesto that they would not raise taxes and that was exactly what she was going to do.
