Iran to face trial on charges of spying for Israel, a former minister.

Professor Ganyan Sageev served as Israel's energy minister in the last decade of the 90's.

Earlier, in 2005 the court sentenced Sageev to jail for drug trafficking and diplomatic passport fraud.

Reuters and BBC reported that 62-year-old Sageve has now been charged with spying for Iran, quoting Israeli security agency Seine Beat (Shabak).

The BBC reported that after the release of prison in 2007, Sageev left for Nigeria.

Sene Beit says that Sageve was contacted by the Iranian intelligence in Nigeria and he also toured Iran twice. He trafficked Israeli fuel, security information to the Iranian.
