Poisson D’Avril or Just Rotten Fish?

Bankrupt or not, it is unprofessional for a CEO to joke about bankruptcy when your company is going through harsh times:

You cannot fool the market:

Anyway, I have been very bearish on Tesla for a long time: https://steemit.com/norway/@janusface/earth-calling-for-tesla

Tesla is still hemorrhaging money which is not that bad if the CAPEX/OPEX lead to increased production which it does not.

As you can see, Mr. Musk’s goals looks pretty unrealistic:

Also, the POTUS wants to alter the automobile efficiency rules created under former President Barack Obama, that could make ‘traditional’ cars even more competitive.

This is an interview with one of the world’s leading expert on batteries (Norwegian content): Paul Rosenquist: -Elbil er det reneste tøv.

Electric vehicles must be built LIGHT in order not to use all the power to push a lot of unnecessary luxury. Mass and movement. In winter, heat needs inside the car and one has to take off the batteries as well as because of the winter cold has a greatly reduced capacity. Then you choose an open oil burner such as a Webasto, but that's the whole environmental gain. When the batteries are at the end of their lives, they must be destroyed and recycled. This is a very energy-intensive process and is not set in system such as TOMRA with the empty bottles.
This way I can continue to list the challenges that caused the electric car to end at a museum 100 years ago and there it belongs!

Tesla seems to be mostly floating on Mr. Musk’s never ending optimism, salesmanship and charisma. Elon Musk is a complicated person, that is difficult to figure out. It is better to try to analyze if there is any flaws in his thinking pattern. Every humans have to rationalise their actions with something, e.g. religious beliefs. So what is the main motivation for him to go to Mars?
Mr. Musk has several times stated that he got inspired to leave the Earth after reading the sci-fi comedy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. If you have not read it (yet) I can tell you that the book is not the kind of book that should change your destiny in life.

Unless Mr. Musk somehow manages to lift economic gravity, Tesla should have a very rough road ahead. Also, the leftist ‘climate change’ doctrine should be weakened going forward, giving the climate religious politicians a hard time selling their ‘profecies’ to their plebs.

No wonder why he is so keen to leave Earth behind and flee to Mars...

That being said, Tesla cars could actually be a good investment these days. There are not sold so many of them. Good collectibles.

Disclaimer: This is not trading advice. I do not have any positions (long/ short) in Tesla Inc.

I'd be curious as to the breakdown of Musk's investors. My guess would be that his fanatical following of techies would be nearly the only remaining investors, with the exception of other SV bigwhigs and firms. Institutional investors and wall street in general have expressed disdain for Tesla from day one, except when they have seemed invincible. Thoughts on whether Musk himself is causing the ship to sink?

Frankly, I do not know. Musk is kind of an enigma too me. He is probably a master persuader and got the right connection. Thus, he can dodge the bullets for a long time. However, there are still sane investors that think TSLA is worth a lot more than today's stock price. Then they value TSLA as a tech company in a monopoly situation (such as Google). I think they forget that TSLA is competing in the world of atoms (not bits).

@janusface,
Tesla is a world brand of auto mobile! But in last couple of months I heard Tesla almost lost their dominance on Electric car market place! Anyway, I don't think the demand of Tesla will not be fallen in any case!

Cheers~

lol just posted a blog about Tesla!
Great info in your post. I think in the near future it will not be a joke anymore though.

  • Elon Musk on Twitter - "Tesla Goes Bankrupt Palo Alto, California, April 1, 2018 -- Despite intense efforts to raise money, including a last-ditch mass sale of Easter Eggs, we are sad to report that Tesla has gone completely and totally bankrupt. So bankrupt, you can't believe it."

Wow i didn't know that, i feel sad because tesla made a lot of effort past years to have great technology in their cars to try to change the cars based in fuel by car that use electricity.

I spoke with my son about this- he’s 12 and he likes Tesla be an alt/inventive and competition to modern day cars. I asked him about an article I read and his reply was no. They are ok. I asked them why do you think this article was published so widely? Is this corporate sabatage? He said it could be. I asked so who’s their competition? Ford and another company(I forget) is their competition. Was interesting.

How I believe that Tesla was closed @janusface? It was April pool day issue i guess. However I don't know what's real situation.

If it is right, it is very sad news for me because I always support Tesla's effort to make a electric budget cars.

I didn't know about Musk's little joke but the problems he is facing are real and great. Electric cars(batteries) must evolve much to keep his predictions in the true way. I don't believe that it will be solved in a short time and it is a pity.
