Universi-THC Scholarship for $20k ...looking for students to experiment with some weed

#veriheal is a company started by 2 guys fro Washington DC, They had initially started as a bong supply shop but have pivoted to becoming a full fledged #cannabis media platform. Google is reported to be making their site at a top ranking cannabis culture site (whatever that means).

Part of the marketing is their 20k scholarship contest, which awards 20 student 1000 dollar scholarship award. The contest is specifically for active college students woking on projects relating to the #cannabisspace. Last year was the first year of the contest, and the winning entries worked in ares such as #genetics, compliance, logistics, eldercare, app development.

It is very exciting to see programs like this that help to de-stigmatize cannabis and force the study of the plant to be acknowledged by the universities that have otherwise reluctant to publish any Cannabis Related Studies up until this point, in spite of the published works of medical pioneers such as Sir William brooke O'shaugnessy and Raphael Mechoulam. It is worth pointing out that under the 2018 Farm bill universities were meant o have access to cannabis for the purpose of it's study

The scholarship first launched in 2020, but last year only gave out $10,000 in scholarshipawards. This year, it has been doubled to offer 20 $1,000 scholarships to those who qualify.
