Take the most important cold-hard-truth facts you can but present it in the most positive professional way you can. Your already delivering a blow, that needs to be counterbalanced. Stick with the facts, don't bother with gloom and doom that just wastes time; it is also a technique used to misdirect people. Be fair and honest to yourself to help curve the rage, don't leave any detail out just because it is bad news; just present it in a neutral or positive way. It is like bitter sweet.

You can win people with that. They already know they need to listen. No one can completely trick themselves forever. Sometimes they need motivated people like you to wake them up. This is how we can fix this problem.
