Five mobile phone operators have applied for license to start the fourth-generation (4G) telecommunication service in the country. These are Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink, Teletalk and Citycell. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) hopes that it will be possible to introduce four-way services in the country within the next working day after completion of processual work.

BTRC chairman Shahjahan Mahmud told the press conference at a press conference in the capital's Ramna in the capital on Sunday. The last day of application for the FourG license was on Sunday. The BTRC chairman said that Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Citycell have applied for the participation in the wave auction along with the FourG license.

Shahjahan Mahmud said two evaluation committees have been made to verify the application for the Four-G license and wave auction. They will submit to the Report Commission by January 23.

After verification of the Four-G license application, the report will be sent to the Post and Telecommunications Department with the approval of the Commission. After the final approval of the government, the BTRC chairman said that the license will be handed over to the next day on 13th of February after the auction of auction auction.

It was informed at the press conference that licenses can be obtained by applying for a 4G licensing fee. For this, mobile phone operators will be given one month time. The application fee of the license fee will be 5 lakhs. To get the license 10 million taka Annual renewal fee will be 5 million taka. The operators will have to pay Tk 150 crore to the bank for this license. The government will have to pay 5 percent of the income that the operators make for the Four-G service.

According to the wave auction, operators will have to take part in the auctions to get a new wave allocation. The fundamental value of 900 and 1,000 800 MHz band wave auction has been fixed at $ 300 million per megahertz. And the base price for a megahertz band for 2,100 MHz band has been estimated at 27 million dollars. To get technology neutral in the wave allocated for 2G and 3G services, the operators will have to pay a separate price for each MHHR. If all the wave technology is neutral, the price will cost $ 40 million, and partial technology will cost $ 75 million for neutrality.

According to BTRC Chairman Shahjahan Mahmud, the completion of these processes will be possible for the common people to launch the Four -Gi service by March. He said the operators are preparing for the Four -G service. They will be able to provide this service very quickly.

BTRC Legal and Licensing Department Director General AKM Shahiduzzaman said the Citycell has got the maximum amount of money deposited after getting the government's dues. If they pay the full amount according to the court order, there will be no legal restriction to provide full-service services.

At present, the minimum speed of any broadband broadband Internet in Bangladesh is 5 Mbps. The BTRC does not have any specific information about the average speed of 3G technology. But the BTRC has set the minimum speed of 20Gbps for mobile services.
