Julian Assange turns 46 today, detained without charge since 2010, in violation of two UN rulings for his release
Christine Assange, on May 19th, 2017, called for the Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to step in and protect Julian Assange's citizen rights under the constitution.
WikiLeaks, a long-time advocate of crypto currency, has been in battle since 2010, when Assange was detained in regard to a sex crime by the country of Sweden. The allegation, which was partially coerced and was subsequently dropped after 5 years without evidence or allowance for a defense, has stained the memory and legacy of Julian Assange permanently.
Despite Julian Assange never being even formally charged as a rapist, Sweden has encouraged tabloid journalist to continually lambaste him as a Rapist, some of which stopped only after the face of libel lawsuits. Assange has never been formally accused as a rapist, and the supposed victim received significant unwanted attention by the State of Sweden. She didn't go to the police, the police came to her.
So now as Assange turns 46, and as his mother lives on without a son, as his children grow old without a father, Julian fights on to do what journalist were meant to do : Show the Kingdom that the Emperor wears no Clothes.
Yet, Julian keeps on. Happy birthday Julian Assange. Without your defense of Tor, Tails, Block chain, and protection from the deceit weaved by the the oppressive powers, the world wide web might become nothing but a den of spiders, trappings for flies.
"Detained for seven years without charge while my children grew up and my name was slandered.
I do not forgive or forget." - Julian Assange
Twice the UN has asserted the UK is not within its Rights to detain Assange, without the granting of safe passage to flee, yet the threat of another immediate, unprovoked accusation lingers, primarily from the heads of the United States.
Julian Assange faces no publicly known legal accusations. Yet is he free to reach a car, boat, or airport? No, Julian Assange and Wikileaks do not believe so. The moment he leaves the threshold of the Ecuadorian Embassy, the day he steps into sunshine, may be his last.
As I write this in the land of the Free, and with plans to celebrate the signing of one of the most important documents of mankind, I know that battle was never fully won. As the light of humanity dims, so cools the marrow in the bones. Like the falling of Rome, so goes time.
To Assange : The Pirate. The Father. The Son. The Martyr. The Patriot.
