Allegedly Extortion, Middle School Principal I Trumon Central Dealing with Police

Tapaktuan - Police are examining the Principal (Principal) of SMAN 1 in Central Trumon District, South Aceh Regency, with the initials MY. Examination was carried out on suspicion of extortion against students at the school who received assistance from the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP).

South Aceh Deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner Iskandar who was confirmed by reporters on Tuesday (07/10/2018) said, the examination of MY originated from the incident that occurred on Tuesday (07/03/2018) then. At that time, he said, there were 37 SMAN 1 Middle Trumon District students, disbursing PIP funds at the bank. MY immediately accompanied the students.

Per student gets assistance as much as Rp. 1 million. But after the money was withdrawn by students from their respective accounts, I called two students, one male and one female. Then told to collect Rp.333,000,000 per student, Iskandar said to reporters in his room.

When the money collection process, said Iskandar, there were South Aceh Police personnel who saw it. The police personnel then received an explanation from the students regarding the levy.

On that basis, police officers report to their superiors and are followed up by deploying members of the South Aceh Regional Police.

The school principal was taken to the South Aceh Mapolres with 37 students to be asked for information, said Iskandar.

MY acknowledgment, said Iskandar, the money was used for the payment of school committee fees and the cost of cars hired to transport students from Trumon to Tapaktuan.

A number of PIP recipient students who were questioned also admitted there was a deduction to pay the committee's money.

Currently, the police are still investigating this case. As for the safekeeping evidence, Rp. 12,980,000 was collected from the collection fees, and absent students who had collected the money were written by two students and BNI withdrawal slips, he said.

In the interim, our party is still carrying out further research to explore this case.
