Nearly Half Of BC Is On Fire!
WILDFIRE UPDATE
This morning I woke to find that I could not see the huge mountain across the road from my house through the thick smoke that had collected in the Fraser Valley overnight.
The forest fire down the road from where we live has more that quadrupled in size since yesterday, people who live in the area are bracing for evacuation orders as the fire is consuming the whole mountainside where it started on the side of the highway where someone was driving wih a flat tire, spraying sparks everywhere.
Residents are beginning to get very nervous and voice are voicing their concern to local media and regional offices as the size of this fire has grown 5X in less than two days and does not seem to be slowing down.
It was lightning that lit so many new fires here in BC last week and lightning we will have again, according to the weather people.
Hopefully it comes with a generous amount of rain to help us save our forests and property.
