The site of the Lithuanian startup Prodeum was removed after the "ICO at $ 6 million"
The site of the project to create a labeling system for vegetables Prodeum was deleted after eight days of ICO. This was noticed by Twitter users.
Prodeum promised investors to develop a new vegetable and fruit labeling system that would allow buyers to track where the goods came from and what additives they used to grow it.
The company began selling tokens on January 20 and was due to complete the ICO on March 13, 2018. According to TokenDesk, for eight days the ICO project attracted about $ 6 million.
On January 28 and 29, Twitter users found that the Prodeum site had lost all information, and the page itself was an empty field with the word "penis" in the upper corner.
BuzzFeed journalist Ryan Mack discovered that Prodeum investors may have paid users to write the project title on their bodies and take photos.
Some users doubt that Prodeum was a successful project: only 184 users were subscribed to the startup page on Twitter, and the purported Prodeum was almost empty.
