India is the world's second largest producer of mobile phones. Samsung wants to bring India to the first place. Because the majority of smartphones in the world are sold, a large part of it is made in India. In the year 2017, the number of smartphone users was 299 million (29.9 million) According to the calculation, in the end of 2018, the figure is 340 million (34 crore) apart. By 2022, the number of smartphones in India will be 442 million (44.2 million). In the year 2016-17, Samsung's mobile phone came from 34 million crores of 50 billion crores of revenue.

Samsung's journey to India started in 1990. Television production started here since 1997. Mobile phones have been started since 2005. In June last year, invested 4,915 crore in the Noida Plant. A year later, the company was able to double production.

But not just mobile phones. Flat panels are making many electronics products like televisions and refrigerators. According to the company, it will be possible to bring many local features in the phone. Nowadays Samsung has two factories. Sriperumbudur of Tamil Nadu has R & D Center. There is also a design center in New York.
