News | Conor McGregor could have a rematch with Mayweather, and on an octagon

in #news7 years ago

It seems like it was yesterday (although it was actually on August 26) when Conor McGregor endured like the big ones the attacks of Floyd Mayweather who, in his own field, beat the Irishman before the eyes of millions of people around the world.

Of the result neither one can complain then, although McGregor lost Olympicly he took many millions in his pocket, and of Mayweather not even say (with what he won he bought another mansion).

However, there is a conclusion that everyone reached, even before the meeting in Las Vegas: the meeting is unfair. And yes, an undefeated champion was obviously going to beat the UFC champion for the simple reason that the two disciplines, while sharing certain similarities, are still different and demand other characteristics.

But, what would happen if the rematch occurred on an octagon of the UFC? According to the talkSPORT website and well-known boxing expert Gareth A Davies, the next time they meet "Notorious" and "Money" it could be to fight under the MMA rules.

"I've known there are too many talks about Mayweather. Too many talks about him potentially having an MMA fight against Conor McGregor, "the sports specialist said.

"Conor McGregor had no chance in boxing against Floyd Mayweather ... People will see how Mayweather will be beaten by McGregor and that will not affect his boxing record.

"I think it will happen again and I imagine it will be a fight of 300, 400 or 500 million dollars," added Davies.

And maybe this man has the voice of a prophet or has been very aware of Mayweather's Instagram, because a few days ago, the boxer published a couple of cryptic videos in which he can be seen entering an octagon and even throwing a few hits .
