WhatsApp Rumours Led Mob Killing 7 In Jharkhand, India

At least 19 people have been arrested and police is looking for more suspects after 7 people were beaten to death by violent mob in two separate incidents in Jharkhand, India over the suspicion of child kidnappers.

According to police the reason for this unfortunate incident is a whatsapp message which accused these seven people of child Kidnapping which is rampant in that region of the country. It also said the kidnappers used to sell these children into trafficking or use them for organ trade. Whatever may be the reason but social media is turning into a weapon which anyone can use while sitting in their bedrooms.

At this time Police is trying to find out the number of origin of this message so that they can find out the main culprit who circulated this message in first place and got all this fire started.
