World's First DriverLess Train Runs on Road
There is a different face of China that is emerging now a day and that is of an innovator rather than of a land of manufacturers or of cheap imitations.
Recently Chinese Rail Transit firm CRRC has developed a driver-less train that can run without tracks.
The smart bus or the Autonomous Rail Rapid transit as it usually called is a 30 meters long and comes with sensors that can read the dimensions of the path and plan its own route depending on the traffic.
It comes in three and five carriage variations and they can carry 300 and 500 passengers respectively.
The initial phase of the project is set to start by 2018.
