Fusion: Limitless clean energy, Is the energy source of the future finally here?

I came across this rather exciting news today that scientists have figured out a way to decelerate runaway electron which takes us a step closer to achieving the pipe dream that is a functional and commercially viable fusion reactor.

I was going to write a little primer about fusion and what it is for the people who haven't heard much about it but then I came across this video (Embedded below) by one of my favorite YouTube channels , which does a beautiful job of explaining what Fusion is and what it's benefits are.
