I think she'll be fine, we have family there, she's more debating society and swimming team than street corners luckily.
even my most heated debate competition never ended in gunplay. Most places outside of a few ghettoes are almost as safe as VT or NH, where they require no permits and have almost no state restrictions on concealed carry or gun ownership.
