Bangladesh will not give shelter to any other citizen of Myanmar

Bangladesh has told the United Nations Security Council that no refugee from Myanmar can take it. In the face of military violence, 18 lakh people took shelter in Bangladesh from Myanmar to 7 lakh Rohingya after the decision was made. The United Nations, Britain, and many other states, including the Myanmar military attack against the Rohingya, have already been described as ethnic killings. But Myanmar has denied the claim from the very beginning.

Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque told UN on Thursday, "I am sorry to inform the council that Bangladesh is no longer in the position of sheltering more people from Myanmar." During this time, he accused Myanmar of making false promises and obstacles. He said a Rohingya could not be returned because the Myanmar support was not ensured.

Myanmar has said that since January this year, they are ready to take back the Rohingyas. But Rohingyas in Bangladesh have demanded that they will not leave Bangladesh if they do not give their citizenship.

The Western states of the Security Council criticized the lack of initiative of Myanmar. British ambassador to the Security Council Karen Pierce said: "We are deeply frustrated because we can not take back Rohingya and create a favorable environment for them.

Many also highlight the importance of ensuring safe and supportive environment for the return of Rohingyas. At the same time, urged Myanmar to join the United Nations delegation to Rakhine. UN Secretary-General of the United Nations, Christian Sramana-Barghana, said: "There is limited access to the United Nations in Rakhine." He said that the level of violence against the Rohingya Muslims and the allegations of human rights violations against Myanmar army have proved that Rohingya torture is one of the worst acts of this century.

But China's assistant ambassador to the United Nations, Hu Haita also said that this problem is only in Bangladesh and Myanmar. So they have to solve this crisis. Russian ambassador Dmitry Polianski supported this statement. US Assistant Secretary Jonathan Cohen said the international community can not ignore the largest refugee camp in the world.
