Venezuela, a beautiful country without a doubt. It has all the biomes, deserts, snow, beaches, rivers, everything has it. In addition to that, it possesses an innumerable amount of natural resources. From coal to gold and diamond. Iron, silver, nickel, salt, oil among many more resources.
A country with innumerable advantages, so as not to lengthen things any longer, a rich country. "One of the richest countries in the world."
Now, if you're Venezuelan, you're probably wondering:"What country is that?" Are you sure you're not wrong? Well, no. I'm sure that's right. However, this country has a great history. It has passed through so many hands, it has both positive and negative aspects, but unfortunately today's Venezuela is not the same as I mentioned before. It's ruined and destroyed. There are still splendid places that your visit is indispensable if you live in the country, but travel tends to become an unfortunate experience (in some cases), because if you want to stay in a decent place, you will have to pay large sums of money. And not only that, if you don't have homemade food, you will have to pay extra large amounts for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even an arepa can cost you an eye of the face. Don't panic, it's an exaggerated expression to qualify something that's expensive or hard to get. There are many negative aspects that I could stress but they are enough. Now let's get started:
The main reason why Venezuela is like today we know
Number one and unique reason for this post
Because most of the Venezuelans have lost their humanity.
This is one of the most striking reasons why Venezuela is as it is. This may sound bad to you, but it does. We know that Venezuela has passed through hands full of greed, destructive hands, hands that don't know how to do a good job, and much of the Venezuela of today is the result of those ugly and dirty hands. On the other hand, there is another part that carries a lot of weight, us. It may sound bad to you, but it's like that, or at least most Venezuelans, no longer feel and are living statues that only live by living without caring about others. I know we are in a difficult situation, but however stupid it may seem to you, we are all brothers and sisters and helping the needy should be engraved in our being.
I will give a very clear example of lack of humanity. Let's say you work in a company, and your position is good enough to be able to associate someone else with the company. In Venezuela, there is much that one person adds a family member to the company and then he or she brings another family member and the other family member brings another family member, until almost all the company is formed by the whole family. At first glance, it doesn't seem like a bad thing. But if you look at it differently, they are jobs that may have been filled by other people who are needy and unemployed. Don't you think so?
But this is nothing. Parents who left their children abandoned on the streets due to their carefree acts worthy of an immature person. This leads to overpopulation, and this leads to scarcity, but not only that, but also crime. Already these abandoned children not only steal an apple or peach, they rob people and in the worst case, kill them. It's amazing how one thing leads to another. This does not mean that all abandoned children are like this. There are children who grow up on the streets and have forged a very rewarding and pleasant future with much effort. But in most cases, this is what happens, the worst.
Where is our humanity?
People stranded in the street, who ask for a little something to eat, and are completely ignored. People who ask for help and support on buses, and are also ignored. It's like,"Your problem is none of my business."
Animals that are beaten, kicked and even poisoned by starvation and looking at a display case or entering a food place.
Where is humanity?
I'm grateful I was born the way I am. I can't help but look at a person who really needs support. I've given the food I buy at the bakery to ladies who have their children, I've run out of money for the bus to help the cause of the gentlemen who need medicine for their children. I help older ladies across the street. Speaking of older ladies, do you know how weak their legs tend to get? And even more so in a country where good food is forbidden because it is so expensive. These old ladies, they can barely walk. Let's say they walk at a snail's pace. There are women who do not have a family to help them. These ladies go to the bank alone to collect their pension, and it is up to them to walk the streets, and they can't, do you know why? Because we are incapable of braking or slowing down. Just for that simple fact. I know that getting to our work is important, or going home to take care of your children is important, but I know that if you slow down, and expect the people who need to cross the street, pass, you will still get home well and these people, these ladies will thank you. And not just ladies, but gentlemen. Only most of them are tough, one offers them help and they send you flying. The point is, what are we doing? We're going for life to a million, and we ignore everything what's around us...
Stop it!
There are many faults of humanity, which can be remedied with good deeds. Look around and change. That little change, it'll make a change in the country. Believe it or not, that's the way it is.
PD: This obviously happens in all countries, but in other countries the lack of humanity is greater, as in others it is lesser. All over the world there are many greedy and ugly people, as well as many beautiful and humble people. Mostly the ugly people win.
And this is:
The main reason why Venezuela is like this
You're free to comment, I hope you like this post. See you next time.
Thanks for the post - upvoted! Very interesting take. But what would you say to those who've been reporting that the Venezuelan anti-Maduro opposition are Western-financed "Economic Hit Men?":
