6 lakh 17 thousand Rohingya come in Bangladesh
The UN immigration agency IOM has expressed apprehension that the Rohingyas fleeing Bangladesh to save lives from Myanmar have enough risk of human trafficking and various persecution. Based on the interview of Rohingya who took shelter in a temporary settlement, the IOM said about the danger.
On Tuesday, the IOM said in a notification that since August 25, 6 lakh 17 thousand Rohingya have taken refuge in Bangladesh. Of these, 5,12,000 Rohingya people got their place of residence. And before the start of the Rohingyas this time, these people of Myanmar have become victims of deprivation.
Based on the Rohingya interview, the IOM said that the Rohingyas fleeing to save lives, fishing of men and children, small businesses are trapped in false work. And greed for girls is shown in household chores. Due to the lack of alternative source of income, these poor Rohingya are forced to add themselves and their children to the risky and dangerous activities. After joining the work, they are not receiving the money as promised. Occasionally being deprived from the chance of rest. Being forced to work extra time, not to leave the workplace and to disconnect with the family. Women and children sometimes brought allegations of physical and sexual abuse.
In the interview some Rohingyas said they were forced to do the things they never did. Apart from this, no one has been taken to another place instead of the promised place.
