Jay Z bailing out incarcerated Dads for Fathers Day

Jay z is on of the most recognizable names in hip hop also his sport agency Roc Nation is representing some of the best athletes in the country hes a cultural icon. Shawn carter aka jay z made a donation to support southerners on the new ground and color change in order to help bail out fathers who cannot afford it. The same organization put together a similar fundraiser for Mothers day raising more than $700,000 to bail out 100 mothers. Shawn carter aka jay z said he had been obsessed with the injustice of the profitable bail bond industry and after hearing about Browder a man who was wrongfully accused of stealing a backpack and spent three years in solitary confinement on Rikers Island and eventually committed suicide. Jay Z said "he was sentenced to a kind of purgatory before he ever went to trail" "The the three years he spent in solitary confinement on Rikers ultimately created irreversible damage that lead to his death at 22 years old. This is not the first time Jay Z did some thing like this in 2008 when three New York cops were acquitted in the shooting of unarmed Sean Bell, Carter established a trust fund for his two children which would be enough to pay for college if they chose to go. Jay z and his mother Gloria also started the Shown Carter Foundation which has provided more than $4 million in scholarships and other development programs to empower the youth and communities.
