in #news7 years ago

Tesla Motors says its first mass-market car, the Model 3, will begin rolling off the line on Friday, two weeks earlier than planned, with the first deliveries on July 28.

Elon Musk, the company’s chief executive, said late Sunday on Twitter that production would increase quickly, with 100 Model 3s produced in August and 1,500 or more in September. He said that he expected the company to be able to produce 20,000 per month beginning in December.

Followed and Upvoted. I will try to keep an open mind about these vehicles but here in northern Canada I don't think they are very practical. Considering we need heat in our vehicles 8 months out of the year! Lol

How long is the extension cord?
LOL

I love the idea of energy efficient cars, but I just don't like to pay the extra prices, that normally are too high.

The Model 3 is going to be around $35000 USD after incentives!

a decently loaded tesla 3 will at least be 60K
very few will get the base model- myself included

And now that we have the answer for this question, we see that also a Tesla Model 3 with good configuration will nearly cost 60k....

Do you have good alternatives?

Me is interested in hearing from you....

Thank you

Seeing these regularly now in Australia, i usually see 1 a day. I think theres going to be a point that we get flooded with different types of EV's or plug in hybrids. Theres going to have to be a decent market in converting existing petrol chasis to plug in hybrid or full EV.

Frankly, I am disappointed in the production volume predictions. Only 100 cars by Aug and early cars wont be using the batteries from giga factory yet

There is a opportunity to short tesla if stock hits 400 . Folks still dont realize that the margins are not enough to justify the market cap. Tesla wont be a amazon type growth story.
