While I agree the elite and the vatican are filled with sick fucks who abuse kids, what makes you think this abuse has anything to do with pedophilia? Statistically most child sexual abuse is committed by non-pedophiles.
Honestly I would agree, assuming the individual otherwise checks out and appears to be a good caregiver whether or not they may find the child romantically interesting or physically beautiful doesn't really hold any merit as a justification to ban them from adopting or working with children.
Obviously it's different if someone is a child molester, or does not appear to be a good caretaker otherwise.
