Understanding:
The word marriage means "to join" (ضم), "sex" (وطء) and also means "covenant" (عقد) There are two possible meanings because the word marriage contained in the Qur'an does contain these two meanings. [1] The word marriage contained in the letter of al-Baqarah verse 230:
bÎ * sù $ ygs) ¯ = sÛ Ÿxsù '@ ÏtrB ¼ã & s! .ÏB ß ‰ ÷ èt / 4Ó®Lym yxÅ3Ys? % ¹ ÷ ry- ¼çnuŽö ?? xî 3
"If the husband is his mentality (after the second Talak), then the woman is no longer lawful for him until he marries another husband."

The above verse implies a genital relationship and not just a contract because there is a clue from the hadith of the Prophet that after the marriage ceremony with both men the woman should not be married by her ex-husband unless the second husband has felt the pleasure of sex with the woman.

Meanwhile, according to Abu Yahya Zakariyah Al-Ansari defines: "Nikah according syara 'is a contract that contains the legal provisions of sexual intercourse with lafadz marriage or with words with him."

Meanwhile, according to Islamic law there are several definitions, including: "Marriage according syara 'namely the agreement set syara' to allow fun between men and women and justify the fun of women with men."

Of the two meanings above are made only seen from one side only, namely legal permissibility with the relationship between a man and a woman who was originally prohibited to become halal. [2] From some opinions on the meaning of marriage is many different opinions that each other different.
