The Dare Program Taught My Son a Few Things
- What kinds of people to look for if he wanted alcohol or tobacco
- How to kidnap and use extortion to get what you want
- Bullying (when the ransom wasn't paid)
- Teasing (by both teachers and students)
No idea what goes on in other places, but it was a pretty screwed up experience for him. I remember it being a big joke when I was a kid. Fact is, the programming kids get these days is significantly awful.
They discontinued the dare program in Colorado. Among other reasons, too many kids doing reports on how cannabis is helpful and not harmful. ;)
yeah I remember the only people who actually wore the shirts were the people who did drugs, just to be ironic lol
Indeed, I've seen that trend occasionally over the years.
