Aldi Christmas savings: How to feed your family on a budget
Aldi's catering Christmas this year with big savings that can feed a family of four a three-course meal – all for under $50.
Aldi's shopping expert Nicole told A Current Affair that Aldi are trying to play their part in lowering the cost of Christmas celebrations.
"If Christmas isn't Christmas without Turkey, this is the menu for you," Nicole said.
"We'll start off with some turkey balls - turkey breast, cranberry and bacon. Then we'll move to the turkey breast roast and that has an apple and cranberry stuffing.
"We've got our beautiful parsnips here, green peas as a side, and then last but not least, the finale, the chocolate sponge bombe with a hazelnut centre, handcrafted honeycomb, mangoes and strawberries."
If you add sauces and dips, the whole meal will set you back $49.29.
Mother-of-two Katie and her kids Magnus and Zarli love Christmas.
The family said they're excited to try the turkey balls which come to $5.99 and like how easy they are to make.

The chocolate hazelnut bombe comes to $4.99 for 227g and honeycomb is $4.99 for 250g.
If you're after something healthy Aldi's mango is $2.49, and their strawberries come to $1.99 for 250g.
Katie said most Christmas' she misses out on all the fun because she is slaving away in the kitchen, but maybe this year things will be different.
Is there enough for everyone?
While the family said all the food from Aldi looks great, the big question on everyone's mind is – will there be enough for everyone?
"There's growing children as well and teenage boys in the family so they eat for about three, so we need a lot of food," Katie said.
"I'd be really happy having this on Christmas."
If you're after the traditional Christmas menu Aldi's leg ham makes the perfect centre piece.
"We've got some fantastic sides - you can't go past these goose fat potatoes, some carrots and baby spinach," Nicole from Aldi said.
The entree of prawns will set you back $12.99, the ham is $10.49 a kilo, and a kilo of duck fat potatoes is $3.99.
For dessert Aldi have a Christmas cake with glazed cherries, pecans and almonds which comes to $10.99.
