In 2008, during CNN's coverage of the Obama/McCain Presidential Election, something strange occurred. Rap legend, will.i.am, beamed himself into the studio via hologram. He would be the dope-ass Princess Leia to Anderson Cooper's homosexual Obi-Wan, giving his take on national politics.

Basically, CNN is fucking stupid.

But, you're not. No. You could see where this was heading. It may have been the first time a celebrity was displayed to the public via hologram, but it wouldn't be the last. Soon, black entertainers projecting themselves into thin air would be the norm. Even super dead ones.

The powers that be would even desecrate the memory of racist old white celebrities.

Then, in 2014, the Prime Minister of India let the cat out of the bag, "addressing rallies throughout the country simultaneously as a hologram".

Well, it's certainly more convenient than using a bunch of body doubles.

It was becoming clear that this would catch on in the political arena, but most people still disbelieved it was real.

This is my favorite part of the article:

Now, I get that these people were supposed to be dirty illiterates or whatever, but we're not talking about reading a novel. They legitimately believed Modi was present, and this was only the beginning of hologram technology. Soon, if not already, it will be advanced enough to fool us all.

Far-left French Politician, Jean-Luc Melenchon, appeared as a hologram at a presidential rally in February, finally making it real to the western world. And, it looked convincing.

Now, what if you could project holograms of anything you wanted? Create people, places, and things using CGI so perfect the naked eye can't differentiate?

Could you trust everything you saw?

What if they used it to further their agenda? What if it's been going on since at least 2010?
