Blackberry KeyOne the comeback of Blackberry or just another bust?
Do people still use Blackberry's? Yes they do as a matter of fact I personally have a Blackberry. So let us talk about the relative new Blackberry KeyOne on the market. As most of the blackberry's the KeyOne has a physical keyboard underneath the 4.5" screen. The KeyOne runs on Android Nougat which is an upgrade since the Blackberry OS couldn't work with most of the apps. The Keyboard has also been upgraded to smart keyboard which can act like a trackpad.
The KeyOne has the following specs:
- 4.5"scratch resistant 433ppi 1620 x 1080 IPS display
- 3 GB ram
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
- USB Type-C
- 8MP front camera with flash
-12MP auto-focus large pixel rear camera with 4K recording
- Fingerprint Sensor
Lets face it the specs aren't top of the art, and with news reporting that the screens arent glued to the surface of the Blackberry it doesn't really has any chance for a huge comeback.
Although I still hope Blackberry will make a comeback I am personally not taking the risk on this Blackberry.
So.. the screen can just pop out and fall off?! lol, that'd be a lot more problematic than losing your headphones.. sorry I haven't returned your calls I lost my phone screen! Well, I'm sure there are still reasons to use it but I'd be worried about the problems more than the benefits. Interesting post, thanks for sharing.
Haha made me laugh thank you
Blackberry used to be the king of the hill but they stopped innovating and took their customers for granted.
Not to mention that HUGE security scandal they admitted to giving away everyone's BBM conversations whenever ANY government agency requested it.
I think most of those "physical keyboards are better" people have moved on because typing on a screen is pretty fast too.
AT LEAST they are using Android this time so people don't have to deal with BB OS.
This phone simply looks like an OK Android phone with a keyboard on it. If this is the best Black Berry can do they should probably just close up shop and walk away.
Yes agree it is a real shame though, I just hope there will come one blackberry who will change that. I remember when you could ping each other for free (it was before whatsapp) everyone bought one, but then came the smartphone and whatsapp and it faded away.
