The eccentricity of the cryptocurrency millionaire is bringing innovation that is changing the sphere in which they are working. With the dominant taste of cryptocurrency on the air, Facebook also wanted to try that market that led them to launch Libra, a company that many enthusiasts expect. However, Metal, a crypto-based payment application was launched as its full version, which will supposedly dominate Libra in the market. Basically it will be the «Killer Pound».
On August 19, Erik Finman, co-founder of Metal along with Marshall Hayner, co-founder of QuickCoin, confirmed in a social media post that its users can now receive and send a variety of different cryptocurrencies. This will supposedly provide strong competition to the Facebook Pound, and cryptocurrency enthusiasts may not have enough of this rivalry that is yet to happen.
Metal, the encryption payment application is essentially based on a point-to-point architecture and supports a wide range of encryption tokens, including ETH and BTC. Previously, the application only had the option of using Metal or MTL, which is its internal currency.
Finman has strongly backed Metal, which is expected to present cryptography in a way that Libra only wishes it could. Finman rose to fame for being the youngest BTC millionaire in the world.
The digital currency of Facebook has not yet seen the consumer market, but the ambitious anticipations revealed by Finman already trust Metal to be an absolute killer of Libra. While the possibilities are endless in a market as volatile as cryptocurrency, patience can only be the common denominator here. But with the strong competition that it will supposedly provide, it could be somewhat promising, since it is as interesting as the next Libra that Facebook had presented.
According to a report recently received, this project has apparently encountered some regulatory obstacles around the world, unlike Facebook, which does not have such deterrents when gathering the nodes to run its platform. Some important names have surfaced, MasterCard and PayPal are two of them. They have also offered to pay a huge amount of $ 10 million to obtain similar privileges.
With the announcement of Libra, there seems to be a wave of competitors that are trying to eliminate Libra even before its launch. While it seems that Metal is the only one, this week has apparently introduced another competitor who will see the light of day like Venus under the wings of Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange with which the market is familiar.
Metal will debut with Steemit, a social network based on cryptography. The social network will also add its native token, that is, STEEM, where Metal also allows Steemit to create / add content to its application.
They are also allowing Steem to have the Metal discovery section of the application. This was announced in a blog post that also stated that this is probably the first time since they have linked something interesting for users to become familiar.
