NFL Player's Protest Injustice In America.

in #nfl7 years ago

When Trump called Black Men in the NFL, Sons-of Bitches, I felt sick to my stomach. I haven't seen any white players take a knee (I did see some sitting with black teammates). Trump's statements are repugnant. His statements since Friday night have lead me to my current heartache. I have seen poverty and malice, at the hand of the government, plague the black community. When only black players take a knee it is about race, Mr. President.

You know what I would like to see for the people outraged about "flag disrespect"? To humble themselves and pray and wait on The Lord. Do other people, that you only know because you see them on TV, really effect your life that much? Did Jesus tell you they need to respect the flag of America?

I didn't "serve" this country, I'm not a waiter, I "sacrificed" for it, I'm a soldier. I was in the Air Force.

In my eyes, Non-Violent protests on the field don't offend me. The team members are sticking together for each other. That's what I took away from my time in the Air Force. I'm more disappointed in the people freaking out about NFL players non-violent protest. That is the first amendment, that we sacrificed to protect.

We still have injustice in America, but True Justice, From Injustice, Comes From KNOWING JESUS.
We need to humble ourselves and pray. We don't need more pride for our nation. We need more people that follow Jesus than Trump, or our flag or seek the military's respect.

“The struggle for freedom forms one long front crossing oceans and mountains. The brotherhood of man is not confined within a narrow, limited circle of select people. It is felt everywhere in the world, it is an international sentiment of surpassing strength and because this is true when men of good will finally unite they will be invincible.”

“Human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability; it comes through the tireless efforts of men willing to be co-workers with God, and without this ‘hard work, time itself becomes an ally of the forces of social stagnation. We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always ripe to do right. Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy and transform our pending national elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood. Now is the time to lift our national policy from the quicksand of racial injustice to a solid rock of human dignity.”

He never said "black men", give me a break. People can't get around the concept that it's about the way they are doing it.

I think you have the right to expect better from your commander in chief however. He is supposed to be a professional and conduct himself as such.

I never saw a white players kneel. 70% of the NFL players are black. Who else was protesting?
