GameStop to launch NFT marketplace this year

The video game retailing giant, GameStop, in partnership with Immutable X just rolled out an interesting news about launching its NFT marketplace sometime this year.

Immutable X which is an Ethereum Layer 2 network specifically for NFTs. both companies have raise a $100 million grant to support developers who will launch their NFT projects on this marketplace scheduled to be launched later this year.

Remember the phrase, “a meme stock that really blew up”? A suggestive phrase that put GameStop on the spotlight in January 2020 as their stock price soared when Reddit investors took on wall street. Are we going to experience a deja vu when the marketplace eventually gets rolled out this year?
