Previous years JAMB candidates purchase scratch cards from Jamb centres or good cafes to gain acess to their details and to check admission status but the new Jamb registrar prof. Ishaq Oloyede made an end to the use of scratch cards.
Group of people Was shared to different state offices of JAMB to take records of the Sales transaction of scratch cards and get whatever money that might have either been gathered or mismanaged during the period of the sale of scratch cards.
On a visit to maduguri jamb office a Jamb official " Philomina Chieshe" told Jamb registrar and members that she could not give records for N36 million she made in previous years before the cancellation of Jamb scratched card.
After so much questioning she confessed that her housemaid connived with a Jamb official "Joan Asen" to “spiritually” steal the money from accounts office.
She said: Her responsibility was to sell scratch cards to Jamb candidates and not to involved in handling the money. It was the responsibility of Joan Asen and other senior officials to remit money after selling the cards.
In her statement she said that Joan Asen confessed that they have been stealing the money spiritually through a snake that always sneak into the office to swallow the money.
When I saw this I was left with no option but to gaze in awe. Seeing what people can do to get money.
