The community shield game which was played between two tough great rivals in England, Arsenal vs Chelsea. The match which held at the Wembly stadium was being played to determine the best team in England football competition for the 2016/2017 season.

Community shield is a charity match cup which is played between the FA cup winner and The premier league winner. Though the cup his regarded as a Minor trophy in England in which is not up to the other in the premier league but still considered as important one because it’s a way of giving back to the community by donating all the funds generated across charity Homes in England. Here is an overview of what happened in the match:

The Gunners had started with impressive form with Alex Iwobi twice opening up Chelsea defence . Alexandre Lacazette also hit the bar in the first half while Per Mertesacker was forced to be out just 32 minutes following a clash with Gary Cahill leaving the German with a bleeding face. Victor moses capitalized on arsenal defence sluggishness during a corner kick rebounds from David Lious making Peter Cech helpless . Sead kolasinac equalized with eight minutes left after Pedro was sent off for a foul on Mohammed Elneny.

Here are the things we learnt so far from the match that was played including the side attractions.

**1 Lacazette look promising** Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette though didn’t register a goal but looks promising with a fast decision taken towards Chelsea goal post, he should have put arsenal ahead of the game in the first half. ![lacazette miss.jpg]()
**2 Ngolo Kante proved a point ** Ngolo kante proved a point yesterday has the best premier league player in 2016/2017 season by playing all across the field making interceptions and also prove to be quick in making decision.
**3 morata needs more time** Chelsea new signing Alvaro Morata has been one of the talking point in the game having failed to have converted a clear chance which should have ended the game in favour of Chelsea FC and also lost a penalty shootout alongside Thibaut courtois with the new ABBA penalty format in place.
**4 kolasinac gave the gunner’s hope ** Sead Kolasinac made the difference after being substituted for Per mertesacker , struck late to take the seasonal curtain raiser to spot kick after Victor Moses had looked set to gain revenge for 10 men Chelsea In the FA cup final. ![sead.jpg]()
**5 Xahaka volleys a super shot** Arsenal midfielder Granit xhaka forced a superb save from Chelsea keeper Thibaut courtois deep into the second half.
**6 Willian was unlucky to have a card** willian was brought down in the 18 yard box but the Chelsea winger was unlucky to be booked .Hector bellerin definitely caught him with his knee, causing the Brazilian to kick his own leg and go down.

Conclusion

In my own opinion this is just a community shield more or less a friendly and Arsene Winger side should see this as a starting point to prove their worth as a Title contender this season by making more signings because they need have a longer task ahead with the inclusion of the Europa league at the Emirate stadium for the first time.

The current premier league champions Chelsea should give their new signing Alvaro morata time to fit into the system and also Conte should be a little calm with his attitude to avoid Ban which can affect the performance of the team.

A big shoutout to @laxz1 , @donkeypong , @furion , @penguinPablo , @kingscrown , @modprobe for inspirations and great support and less I forget @ejemai for a great work done on #project20millionNaija in Nigeria.

Nice one bro, I have noticed steemians don't so much fancy football except for few. I love football, we can form a fan base community here on steemit.

Now back to the article, I will comment about Morata. Most fans are too desperate, maybe because of the 70m fee the club paid to buy the player. But I really think it's too early to rate him. Perhaps the league is yet to begin and he was brought in at the 74th minute of the last match against Arsenal. At least the rating should start from the next game which is against Burnley. This is my opinion. Thanks.
